Dichotomy

This was taken the same day as when I was downtown shooting the falls while it was frozen. I had so much fun trying various options with my camera while taking the pictures. I set this one up with a fast shutter speed to that I could capture the falling water in motion. I love the way that the ice is solid and still, while the water is moving and aggressive. The dichotomy is interesting to me. Not all waterfalls should be silky smooth.
